Title: Cat Back ..... Milltec ,Scorpion , Cobra

Hi ...no doubt this has been spoken about before, I'm looking to change the exhaust system. I wont something subtle. I'm looking at the Milltec BUT have seen the Scorpion, Cobra version....

1. Does anyone have any experience with these exhaust systems ??? or can point me in the right direction ???

Your input would be much appreciated :)

I would also like some opinions on this. I had a milltek on an ibiza cupra several years ago and was very happy it, so would probably steer towards getting another one. The racingline one is made by milltek but is slightly louder I beleive.

I had a Milltek in my mk6!and it was really good. Fitted spot on and sounded good without being over the top

I'd love an Akro but can't justify £1500!

Have a look at Cobra Sport, they are Sheffield based and do some nice Mk7 exhausts.

I've got a Milltek Cat back on my 2014 GTI and I'm more than happy with it. Quality of workmanship, fitment (I actually managed to fit it with just the rear wheels on ramps it was so easy to fit), sound are all 100% spot on.

I had a Cobra Sport on my previous car (early Astra VXR) and whilst I would have another Cobra Sport exhaust, I would pick a Milltek over it every time. It was good, but not as good as the Milltek. Also, I don't know what grade of stainless they use, but it rusted way more then my milltek has.

I had a Scorpion exhaust about (ahem) 20 years ago on a Cavalier SRi, it was also good but couldn't comment on their systems now, especially as they've (I think) changed ownership since then too.

Mine is part number SSXVW230 and is the one with the front and centre silencer. Sounds great (not too loud and no drone while cruising on the motorway etc.).

I'm thinking of getting the BCS Powervalve cat back as I already have the downpipe which I am very happy with. Any comments?

Consider the driving you do as well. I'm sat on a motorway for a lot of time in mine, and a resonated system is where I'm going. Non res would simply be too annoying.

BCS or Remus would be my choice, much better quality than the equivalent Miltek and similar price.

I've been thinking of upgrading the exhaust on my Clubsport, but to be honest after watching loads of vids on YouTube I can't see any that would make a great deal of difference   :undecided:
