Title: speakers
Post by: maxie on 07 February 2018, 13:01
Hi all,  i've recently had a new golf gti with dyno audio and while listening to the music the drivers door speaker distorts with the base even when the volume is only at about 30% anyone else noticed this? or is it a phone call time... thanks.

Shouldn't do... I tested a friend's dynaudio out with some of my tunes when I was thinking of getting it... was fine even at very loud volumes and with some serious bass heavy tracks.

Could it be the recording? Downloaded music is often pretty compressed, so looses much of it's original clarity. Have you tried a good old fashioned CD?

Had the same with mine. After reading a thread on here on dyno audio settings I adjusted the settings to subwoofer +6  bass -5  mid -5 treble +1 all in authentic. Then press equaliser button top right on screen to apply settings. Mine is much better now can increase volume past 50% with no door card rattle. Seems the door speakers can't handle lots of bass. Hth.

If you search for my perfect eq settings dyno audio will come up with the thread. Would of put the link up but  not sure how to. Some good info in there.

I was under the impression that the "Dynamic/Authentic/etc settings are fixed & when you switch to the slides to adjust you are in fact adjusting the (individual) setting option & not the actual settings for authentic/dynamic etc...

The only option that you can alter no matter the sound setting or pre-set is the boot subwoofer.....& I only have mine on +3 & preset of authentic .....& that's plenty when playing "Teardrop" by Massive Attack...or "Mind of a Beast" by The Glitch Mob...

Mind you I have the estate...with the boot floor on level/high...so bigger bass box....
