Title: Golf R - Part dropped off when accelerating
Post by: adekil on 30 January 2018, 11:28
Hi all,

Does anyone know what this is used for?

When i accelerated from a standstill, this just popped off from somewhere under the steering column?

Just wondering if its worth taking to a VW garage if its important.

TIA

Took it into a nearby VW garage and no one had seen it before or heard of anything just falling off!

As its under warranty still they need to book it in next week to go through formalities and wouldn't just plonk it back into wherever it fell off.

They found the part which is number 22 in the image below. (securing ring)
