That article is all over the place in terms of facts. Probably just a hash up of stuff previously written. I wouldn't take any of it as gospel.

Think they mean the sketch that bloke from VW is stood in front of. A sketch that could have been used at just about all Golf press events since the Mk5, so not particularly revealing.

That’s what I assumed was the official image. VW won’t be issuing official images of the actual car for some time yet if the launch is around the second half of next year.
Interesting to see the renderings produced by various publications. Auto Express have been at it again with their attempts at speculative renderings; pretty much a poor photoshopped mk7. Based on their past attempts, I’d say it’s highly unlikely to have a ‘face’ that looks like that (fortunately);
