Hi,
I test drove a MK7 GTI and my new Mk7.5 turned up a few days ago. Neither had the PP and the MK7 was totally stock.
The new car is definitely not as loud (inside the cabin) as the MK7 I drove. By loud I mean the engine.
Even in sport mode its very quiet and is nowhere near as vocal when rev matching.
Is this a know thing??
Or could the sound actuator thing be turned down on the new one from the factory?
Thanks

Would be worth checking the soundaktor but also on new cars the exhaust will always get louder over time

I thought the same thing on my R, nowhere near as loud on the new one. It may need a few miles on it to get more vocal?

Has yours started to get louder at all?
It was one of the selling points for me. Now I'm really disheartened.

Same for me, I loved the noise it made, I've only done less than 2000 miles, so hasn't got any louder yet.

I’ve done 10k in my 7.5 GTI and the exhaust has become louder inside the cabin, engine noise has stayed the same but it could be just the soundaktor.
