Hello all

Newbie here with a GTi PP on order, returning to the fold after a few years away having previously owned a Mk V GTi.

My order has been sitting at stage 2 now for about 4 weeks.  Is this usual?  How long should I expect to wait before getting a build date?

Total time from order to delivery is normally 16-20 weeks.

Working back from that then, assuming 16 weeks, probably about 8 or 9 weeks before build date is confirmed, which is four weeks before the actual build date.

It does all depend on component availability and all sorts though.

I ordered mine on Sept 30th last year was originally given week5 (end of Jan) it was built wc 13th Nov and arrived at Grimsby 29th Nov. I was planning for a Mar 1st delivery but decided against it and picked it up 5th Jan  :smiley:

You could always try the live chat feature on the VW website as they often have access to more up to date info on build times.
