You come out having done a deal on a Tiguan R line ordered
Trying to decide between tungsten silver and Oryx white.
-
Nice.
Which engine / spec?
I'd go for Tungsten personally, but then i'm tight as cramp and won't pay £££ for premium paint finishes. I can just about stretch to metallic paint if it gets me a bit more choice.
-
Someone on my street has a white one. Looks lovely, DRL’s and lights are brilliant. I would go for white if it was me.
-
Nice car, my Dad has one on the way in the next couple of weeks. Indium grey.
Surprised you choose one though! Thought you were last talking about 3 door Clubsport / GTI.
-
They have a beautiful black one in my local dealership which looks excellent. Feels very upmarket and premium which it should do for the price

"I wanted a GTI"... got a GTD.... wanted a CS.... bought a peasant crusher

I've had a few Oryx in the past and love it but tungsten is also a colour I love. I personally wouldn't go for white.
Spec is 190 tdi dsg with keyless boot thing, leather, camera and Dynaudio.Nice car, my Dad has one on the way in the next couple of weeks. Indium grey.

That's my sister's car and that is still on the cards. It was always going to be with the GTD but the deal on the Tiguan was too good and means the GTD has cost me(without stuff I've bought for it) 2k

I can't buy black until Rebecca leaves her husband for me
-
Oh I wouldn't buy black either but it looks nice in the showroom all clean and sparkly

Think the one on my street may be pure white rather than oryx white. Still stands out though, especially with the black gloss bits and massive wheels.

I think Indium grey is the nicest on them, it really sets off the blingy R-Line kit. White is seriously eye catching too but I don't think I'd personally pay the premium for Oryx as its pretty difficult to tell it from flat white imo. I'm not a big fan of tungsten.
Colour is very subjective I guess.

It can be a nightmare picking a colour. Indium is a really nice colour, looks rich with the R Line body kit as you say.

They had an indium grey sel with 20" alloys and it did look very nice but tungsten is so nice.

I like Tungsten more and more, that looks fantastic to me. However I do concede that in the wrong light it can sometimes look slightly beige.
Oryx looks awesome when it pops, but unfortunately to my eyes it looks like Pure White for about 300 days of the year. :undecided:

They do look great

As my car has just had 4 new wheels under warranty and also fitted them with Michelin PS4 tyres it would be a shame to let them go so if anyone wants to swap their GTD wheels and tyres with mine I can do you a good deal on them.
Also selling my DTUK box which I had already taken off ready to get the car mapped by revo.

Interested to hear if you were in a PCP deal? I'm coming up to 2 years into a 4 year PCP deal & things have changed recently where I could do with a slightly bigger car, especially in the boot department, if you were in a PCP deal, just interested to hear how that played out when changing to a new car

Congrats on the order.
These things can happen, you go in for one thing and come out with a new car.
I've done it in supermarkets too, gone in for a loaf of bread and come out with a TV.
Tungsten looks really good, is easy to look after and is cheaper than Oryx.

Yeah, I once came over to the UK for a few days and got myself a wife
I have went for Oryx white in the end, 16 week wait though.

So will you be sticking around when you get your Tiguan, or will we all be dead to you? :lipsrsealed:

I'm still taking my sister's Clubsport when/if she sells it.
