Title: Internal Doors Trims
Post by: naxcars on 31 December 2017, 19:29
Just picked up a brand new RLine today and notice that the plastic trims that I have on the inside door on my GTI PP are not on the RLine - think the trim covers the mirror mount bolts.

Anyone have a link to any info on this or part numbers, as I'm sure I've read about VW scrimping on the 7.5.

Are these trims only visible with the door open?

I know exactly what the OP means and yes they are missing from the Mk7.5 (GTI/GTD/R whatever), along with a few other bits compared to the Mk7.

There was a thread on here somewhere about it...

They were actually deleted before the facelift. I saw a few late MK7’s that didn’t have them either.

I don’t think they fit on easily to the newer cars though. There is/was a pinhole or 2 in the metal work around those bolts that the cover clips into. Those holes aren’t there now. So you’d have to maybe glue them in place!

You only see them when the door is open so totally pointless retro fitting in my opinion.
