Hi,
I have a GTI manual on order and started wondering how on earth do you properly 'launch' it off the line?
Traditionally you'd have it straining against the handbrake, then when setting off drop the handbrake and away you go. How on earth do you achieve anything like this with the auto thingy.
Thanks

Clutch in build revs and then dump the clutch if you get the revs right awesome if you dont it will bog down.
Engineering explained did a video on it funnily enough in an R but same principle it is very informative.

Does is auto disengage really fast then?
I had visions of it taking a while to let the brakes off. In fact I actually had visions that if you set off really fast you could drag its ass along for a few ft.

I have never launched mine but i would advise turning auto hold off and disabling the e brake beforehand. It does disengage quickly but i would rather have it off just encase.
