Seasons greetings all,
I've finally made a decision on which aftermarket wheels to go for.
Even though Michelin will not be producing the PS4S in 18" for the European market, I do plan to stick with 18" and keep the original Parkers for winter use.
I found a great price on the Neuspeeds, but the offer is only valid till 2nd January.
So my choice now comes down to either silver or gun metal?

What do you think will look best with the Isaac Blue paintwork? Just can't make my mind up, last week I was all for silver but today I'm thinking gun metal.
All comments appreciated, thanks
Matt

Gunmetal for me I think

Where from if you don’t mind? I’m looking for new wheels myself and I was thinking about Konig backbones

I plan to get them from Etek Tuning in the US, they will ship free to California for me, so probably not going to be much use to you. https://www.etektuning.com/neuspeed-rse12-18x8-45-5x112-light-weight-wheel-for-vw-audi/
One of our family businesses imports every month from LAX, so will get them added to a shipment.

What a nice dilemma to have  I can see why you are unsure, both would look great but to me for different reasons. The silver would be quite showy and bling with the dark of the Isaac Blue but the gunmetal would have a more sporting, focussed and subtle look. So it depends on what look you are going for. For me, I think the gunmetal would edge it. I like the showy look having Santiagos but it's the black sections on them that create the balanced look so the fully silver Neuspeeds might be just a bit OTT. Happy deliberations
-
Gunmetal for me too. Silver wheels look a bit basic now to my eyes.
-
Either - personal preference.
Gun metal looks great and will probably hide the dirt well?

Gunmetal.

Gunmetal all day long.

Gunmetal for definite.

£1202 from awesome GTI so that's a fair old saving you'll be getting
Lovely wheels, I think they will look brilliant on your car
-
I would say I'm normally a silver person but those gunmetal ones look great and will suit the Isaac Blue extremely well
-
I would go silver as brighter wheels work better with darker paint colours
-
Double dare and physical challenge.
Go for red!
-
Nice wheels, gunmetal would be my shout.

Maybe for a track day only car.

This was my original thinking ... that said I've only owned the car since mid September and in dull weather conditions it does look more grey than blue.
As these will be summer only wheels, I hoping the gun metal will work ace against the blue paintwork in the sun.
Would appear that gun metal is certainly the more popular option on this forum, even the wife prefers gun metal.
Still a little undecided. Need to make my mind up soon.

Buy 2 of each, that way you can swap them from side to side depending on what colour you prefer at the time.
Seriously though I would have said silver on a dark colour car definitely 1 or 2 years ago but as said already silver are a bit bland now.

Not a Golf, but here’s my Blue Polo GTI with Anthracite / Gunmetal VW Motorsport alloys so you can see what a blue / gunmetal combination looks like. Picture was taken on a fairly bright day, but unfortunately, the sun wasn’t shining at the time.
IMO the combination works well, but I am biased!

@7MAT, wheels look great and Isaac Blue looks fantastic in the sunshine.
A great combination.

They look a bit like a tsw hockenheim. Blast from the past
-
Look great.
Are they 18" or 19"?

Are they 18" or 19"?
Thanks, the RSe12’s are 18” and are made especially for VAG cars with a wider offset.
Only 19lbs a corner.

Wheels look very nice 7MAT, is that a Kranzle pressure washer in the background?
I'm thinking of investing in one, my Karcher drives me nuts with the short inflexible hose.

The wheels look awesome, really good choice 7MAT!
Ganno - if you did want to stick with the Karcher, a few of us have upgraded the hose to a longer (and much better quality) one from qwashers... you can find them on eBay.

Yes, that was well spotted - although after several years its now close to dying, my fault as I never serviced it. :embarrassed:
-
Shame as I understood they are supposed to be be virtually indestructible. Have taken the advice of andy28 and bought a decent hose for now.

Gun metal is a better choice but back when I was doing the concourse shows I had a set done in shadow chrome which I'm were far better
