I have a 2017 ED40 Clubsport and find the Recaro seats too narrow for long journeys!! A real shame because they look the nuts and we’re an expensive option!!
so, if anyone’s interested in a swap, I’m on the lookout for full leather....??
-
Will that not affect the value of your car??

What about these: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MK7-Volkswagen-Golf-GTI-Edition-40-CLUBSPORT-No-626-FULL-INTERIOR-SEATS/253162698796?hash=item3af1ac382c:g:eDQAAOSwT6JZwRf-

Whatever you put in, you really must keep the original stuff you take out to maintain the cars providence for the future.
Slightly different I know, but every thing that has been 'upgraded' in my Mk2 GTI has been packed away so that at some point it can be put back to the factory spec that matches the build sticker. One of my upgrades was to replace the rear seat for one that if 60/40 split with head rests, also electric windows which necessitated a different center console to accept the switches.

Lots of other variables in this swap
3 door or 5 door? Remember the doorcards would need to be swapped out too as they've got matching material on them.
Centre console.
Also, do the recaro's have side airbags? Something else that might be different.
Don't get me wrong, I'd love a CS interior in mine lol.
-
Agreed, you should really keep any parts you take out. The interior link I posted above is out of a 3 door CS.

If it was an easy swap, I'd be hugely tempted - but as others have said, I think cars with the buckets had compromises to the centre console and side airbags which I guess would also need to be resolved on my car to fix the buckets.

The bucket seats didn't have a an arm rest or sliding cover on the cup holder but it can be retro fitted.

Correct, it's been proven/done in Germany at least from several CS owners that a retro fit of the console in cars with buckets is possible without any clashes. Parts cost around 300eur iirc.

To the best of my knowledge the Clubsports that have the bucket seats also do not have the rear air vents at the back of the centre console unlike those fitted with the standard sport and leather seats. Not sure if the air vents have or can be retrofitted although it looks as though to do so one would would need to replace the complete centre console.
-
Yeah the rear air vents would only be fitted with the “full” centre console that has the armrest.

I don't have a leather interior to swap but would happily buy your Recaro's if you sell them separately.
Been several full leather interiors on eBay in recent months, around the £1200-1500 mark.

I'm sure the leather specced Clubsports come with the LED's in the doors too don't they?
I think it'd be a full interior swap required to get it all, plus various coding for the electrics if the leather car comes with the ambient lighting bits missing from bucket spec sheet.
Much as I love the thought of the buckets I'd never be able to get into or out of my car in my shoebox sized garage if I had to clamber in and out of the heavily recessed seats.
The standard cloth and alcantara Clubsport sports seats are pretty decent, look nice and are easy to get in and out of in tight spaces.
