"It delivers exactly what a GTI should – but so does the standard five-door manual-equipped car for £2,530 less."
Errr PP+DSG+DCC+NavPro+19's !=£2530!
£2530 is the difference between 5 door manual and 5 door PP DSG... another 900 quid for DCC and another 1500 quid for NavPro and 990 for santis. oh and 250 for red.
So, let me correct that statement:
"It delivers exactly what a GTI should – but so does the standard five-door manual-equipped car for £6170 less (£5920 if you decide you can live with a purple car ffs)
Thats pretty bloody scary actually.
I've also never heard anyone say VW DSG is slurry in changing gear either? I've always had the opinion it was super rapid, which is the point of DSG surely?

BTW, I always love AE reviews.
"Its the new Mk29 XYZ, it comes in 1.0 basic to 4.5l V8 models.....blah blah... our pick of the range is the 1.2l SE model with plastic seats and no technology that steers like a pregnant cow and has as much poke as a dead snail"

Very good and spot on with the our favourite of the range bit.
Slurring DSG ? An obviously pissed reviewer, utter garbage.
