Hey all!
So I'm trying to get a decent charge from my 12v socket and also the usb in the dash and as any samsung owners will know the phone informs you how long till a full charge!
My current cable says over 6hrs till full charge! Shock!
Is my cable poor quality??
Get the same reading from the ish socket.

Are you using an original Samsung cable or some cheap job? there is a big difference. also what car charger have you tried? you preferably want 2A+ im not sure what amperage the cars outputs.

I've never managed to get a fast charge from a car charger.
The best charger I have just about keeps the charge stable while I am using Wayez, listening to internet radio and the phone doing all of its other stuff.
If you are shocked by the 6hr charge time, its because you are used to charging it with the Samsung fast charger, which really is a fast charger for a very large battery. Everything else will suck by comparison.

Doesn't the phone detect if it's connected to a pc or a charging point (plug socket), so if anything goes wrong it can't break the pc, pc is a lower charging of .5a whereas wall charger can be up to 2.1a, and some of the data leads charge slower,
Maybe get a dedicated charging lead? (If not using android auto)

I'm using a cable that came with a Samsung fast charger.
It doesn't make my car charge my phone any quicker, nor does it make my laptop charge my phone any quicker.
It needs something capable of putting out the power needed for a fast charge... which means another sort of ciggy lighter adaptor of a sort I've never found.

Shame I need my phone plugged into the damned socket in the cubbyhole for android auto tho...
Still, i can charge my other gadgets properly now!

You'll be sorted with the Anker. I got a similar one from them and like you my phone only really kept the charging rate stable. Whereas the Anker will fast charge the phone and run "Waze" :rolleyes: with no problem.
You'll wonder how you survived without it.

Android auto and Apple carplay are very heavy on the phones battery because the phone is doing all the work except for the screen on the phone.
When your using Android auto does the phones battery drop in percentage?
