Title: Scirocco engined mk1

Does anyone know how to fit a supercharged 1.8 engine to a mk1 golf i have heard its kinda easy bar sorting out the pipe work for the intercooler and i should use diesel drive shafts but can anyone give me a good guide please im currently stuck in a 1.1 i need this. :-/

Yeah its possible, but since yours is a 1.1 i wouldn't bother. You will have to change fuel tank, brakes suspension and engine loom & fuse box....... the list goes on.

 Much simpler to stick it in a Mk1 GTI as you will already have most of the above fitted to it. I have one for sale...... if your interested? ;)

Not too sure here without looking.

I know if your sticking just a normal scirocco engine in you use the golf GTI mounts from a MK1 but you say this engine is supercharged, Is this the G-lader supercharger fitted to Rallyes and G60 Corrados or some aftermarket special, (Rootes etc?) And is the donor scirroco a Mk1 or Mk2?

 If its a Mk1, use the Scirrocco's if not, you may have to bodge your own.
