Title: MAF Sensor
Post by: Bluesim on 05 October 2005, 15:34: Had an engine fault on my 2.0 GTI and I need a new MAF Sensor.....does anyone know how much they are and to fit? Not an after market one but a VW one?

Post by: Bluesim on 05 October 2005, 16:08: Hi Speedo - Symptoms? well it all started with the car having a Lamba sensor problem....so had the upstream sensor replaced and then all was well (replaced with a direct fit).
Then about 3 weeks later the fault code is pointing me to the MAF sensor.Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â The car actually runs fine with just a bit of fluctuating revs when stationary.
Just been quoted Ãƒâ€šÃ‚£93 + VAT!!!!!!!

Ãƒâ€šÃ‚£93 might seem steep for an exchange unit, but they're about Ãƒâ€šÃ‚£350 brand new so consider yourself lucky. As said above, they're a doddle to fit.. couple of screws to the airbox and a hoseclip to the turbo inlet pipe.

It's not the prettiest website in the world but you email them with the part you want and they email you back with a cost and whether its in stock or not.

I was quoted Ãƒâ€šÃ‚£55 for an exchange Bosch MAF + Ãƒâ€šÃ‚£3 P&P (there is a Ãƒâ€šÃ‚£25 surcharge which is refunded when you send them the old one back.)
