Title: MK2 GTI 16v - History Help Required

Hi everyone,

I have recently purchased a 1986 Monza Blue 3dr 16v GTI. Unfortunately it came with zero history. I'm just wondering if anyone on here has owned the car previously (11 previous owners) and if there's any history available on the car.

If you go on the gov website you can look at the past 10 years or so of MOT's. Gives you an idea of what problems its had in its life time. You can also see if there are any irregularities with the mileage. Checked my history of MOT's, turns out my speedo has been changed twice so as to the actual mileage of my car its a bit of a mystery, and that nearly every other year the rear callipers seized!!
