Title: GTI Badge Inlay
Post by: clarky92 on 28 September 2017, 14:13
Hi everyone,

I'm looking for an inlay or sticker for the front and rear GTI badge for my 7.5, Ideally going to black or dark grey colour.

Any recommendations?

Do it, really easy to apply although make sure its warm enough! Delivery was quite quick as well, less than 2 weeks. I considered the black ones for the VW badges but heard it could cause an issue with the ACC so decided against. The black GTI look nice and subtle and didn't want to fit red as mines not a PP.

Any photos of the gloss black badges? Seems quite a few people have them.

There’s s couple of videos on YouTube with badgeskins being fitted that might be worth watching - one Golf GTI (tailgate and grill badges) and a GTD (grille badge);

Also, the ‘how to’ instructions on the Badgeskins website;

They are really simple to fit. Ideally should be a reasonable temp but if not, use a hairdryer to warm things up.

Get the badges as clean as pop - all purpose cleaner or something similar.
Get the badge dry. Hairdryer or air blower is perfect so any trapped water is removed
I opened the boot half way so it's easy height to see properly.
Take your time.
