Would any of my fellow vw drivers on here be interested in my Parker Alloy from my facelift Gti? I'm selling as I've brought a set of brescia. Looking for £1300 and they come with the Bridgestone from the factory having only covered 1000 miles. Many read the post and resisted the temptation to respond :-)

Might be worth seeing you could get them on eBay in Germany? STD GTI over there comes with 17s so could be a good market? Or eBay here. Lots of Parkerists on here

£
1300 you say? That's better.

That's a great idea actually.

Note that if you're selling them in Germany, these wheels are actually called Milton Keynes (yes, seriously, check the vw Germany website - I presume they prefer new towns to the butler in Thunderbirds in Germany) so you might want to also include that in the listing.

Thanks guys

Jeez - who thinks up these dumb names for wheels at VW?

Thats the only set of Parkers I have seen sold on eBay recently - I spent the last few months looking for a new set of alloys and remember these coming up in a saved search I had.

£363 sounds like a bargain to me - someone with a normal Golf did well there.

Tyres alone are worth that in my opinion... so yeah someone did get a bargain I think (especially when they had a BIN of £650)

Slightly off topic, but still on the subject of Parker alloys; the standard wheels for the 2018 new model Polo GTI is a 17” version of the Parker alloy , with an 18” version of the Brescia as an extra cost option.

Oh dear, someone in VW must think the Parker is a nice design or perhaps a good way of ensuring customers have to upgrade the wheels, I wonder which it could be
-
Some people don't have a problem with the Parker design, but some do. That's why there's a choice.
-
I like the Parkers! Which is good because it was one less upgrade :-)

I've got some brescia on order from Germany so these are going on eBay asap.
