I have a dsg GTI and I find that I get I slight clunk from the pedal box in the footwell when I release my foot unless I take it off very slowly and just wanted to see if anyone else gets it and if a fix is available , thanks for any help.

Yes I have noticed it sometimes, I guess it can be a pain if you're often in traffic but I haven't bothered looking into it further.

Could it be a return spring sticking?

I picked my second hand GTI up on Friday and have noticed the same clunk too, I thought it was just me. Car only has 16k on it, wondered if it is just a feature of the car?!

That would be a bit like saying the huge bezels on an iPhone is a feature of the phone. Maybe VW will tell you your holding it wrong

There must be a fix for it as i can't see its normal , maybe a clip or something but let's see.

I have a manual and mine doesn't make a sound

I don't really understand the issue but it doesn't resonate with me. Could it be autohold releasing?

I don't think so as I'm pretty sure it's in the mechanism of the pedal back somewhere that just either has slight play or just a result of the dsg brake pedal.

Mine does it as well and it's very annoying, did take it to the dealers and they swapped the brake master cylinder but made no difference so i'm just living with it!!
