Post by: Jeni_R_ on 25 September 2017, 13:49
So she went in today for the roof to be done in vinyl and the guy said the lining inside was soaking he said it could be from when they did the roof but didnt think so cos the undetaide of the metal was dry its just the fabric on the roof thats soaked

We obvs soaked the car on sat when cleaning could only be the aerial theres an issue with but cant be sure if its from when they had the aerial out doing the roof or from when we washed it has anyone known of issues on the mk7 ?

Fabric takes longer to dry than metal. I've never heard of aerial leaks, is it just in that area of roof lining. My guess is they wash prepared surface without aerial and protection to inside which sounds bloody ameaturish to me. Let it dry or light heat from H/dryer etc. And give it a water test.
Are you happy with job they did?
