F reg. So 87 me thinks.

hmm, on cars with this intake, do you have the plastic funnel shaped bit at the front of the airbox, it mates up with the plastic cover behind the headlamp?
Maybe they revised the design?
-
pm me your address and I'll send you a copy of ETKA

F plate is 88-89

the 88 valver has some plastic around the drivers headlight but a big bit is missing I assume and it does not have the intake ..

There was a tube from the carb arm connected to it (1.6 carb motor) and air would be sucked via the 1/4 panal to the car, But i dissconnected the tubing and placed a cone filter on the end of it and put it behind the grill. Ive still got the bit in the 1/4 panal there, ill take a photo in the morning (when its light) if you like

mines a 90 digifant. there was a piece a plastic that fitted from the front of the airbox to the hear of the headlamp enclosure.
Cant take a pic, as i ripped it out, and its in a box of bits somewhere!

the intake duct is in the haynes well the elbow is
I thought maybe it was for carb model's and fitted to the shell prior to being spec'd as a gti except for the haynes shows it in the injection section
I'm realy interested to see what's missing from behind the headlight to the air box so I know what I'm looking for
