A cat back exhaust can't void your warranty.

Congratulations (new car).
No there isn't (warranty friendly exhaust).
But the FL cars do seem to sound a bit fruitier than the older cars.
Maybe you should have bought a Clubsport which is fractionally noisier than a regular GTI, or at least they sound that way from inside and with the Sound Rattle-ulater turned off.
Or better still a Golf R with Performance Pack.
Now that would sound nice.

How would an exhaust void the warranty?

Depends on your dealer and what the problem is.

Doesn't matter what the dealer thinks, I was told that a broken driveshaft wasn't covered because the car was mapped with a few other mods. Quick word with VW legal department to point out that they have to prove the modifications were completely the cause of the part/s failing. As they couldn't they had to cover the warranty.

The exhaust doesn't void any part of the warranty except the CAT and exhaust warranty for obvious reasons . I asked VW UK before fitting my Remus.

Thanks for the info guys can anyone recommend a good system.

Don't discount getting one made rather than an off the shelf one.

I'm sure I've read on here somewhere that the MK7.5 has an improved exhaust note so might be worth letting the car run in for a few months before commiting to replacing the system in case it does what you want as stock. If it still doesn't do what you want then I'd look through you tube for videos of various options to get an idea of what does it for you. I think you can remove the middle box and replace it with a straight pipe for instance, could be a good easy option and economical.

Sorry, my mistake.

The new one isn't coming with the pp will that make a difference to the exhaust note.
-
Shouldn't do, PP is logoed and bigger front brakes, vented rear discs, lsd and a bit more power, nothing that should affect the exhaust note.

cheers for the info watts

You need to upload them to a hosting site then paste a code into your post. Since photobucket started charging, on the recommendation of a poster on here I started using postimage.org which is easy to use. Set up an account then click on upload keeping images the same size, once uploaded use the hotlink for forums. Do ask again if unsure
