Hi
Any recommendations on best products to use on the interior finish in GTD MK7 ? the centre console etc has a black/grey finish the name escapes me what its called but sure you guys will know :)
Normally use Meguiars products but wonder if anything better ?

The former is fantastic on all interior trim, be it shiny or matt. It's fairly thick so not advised to soray on but instead dispense onto a soft fine microfibre and work over the trim then buff off with a plush MF after a few mins. It restores and preserves matt finishes but works equally well on piano black gloss trim which it keeps glossy. Importantly it does not leave any trace of sticky residue (provided you buff it off properly) unlike some Meguiars interior products which I found did.
The Auto Finesse Total Interior Cleaner is asoraybon/buff off product and a very good all rounder and easy to use.

Thanks will have a look i think i am swaying towards the Auto Finesse it gets rave reviews everywhere :) you obviously know your stuff on this - can you recommend a good glass cleaner and protector like rain x or similar ?
I would like to invest in a full detail of the car but not sure costs etc for this kind of thing :undecided:

For your glass i use Gtechniq perfect glass which works well.
A Rain X alternative I used was Gtechniq G1 clear vision glass, 5 months in and it still works well. You can get a kit called Automotive Glass care which has everything you need to clean and protect the glass.
Carpro do Flyby which is similar to G1
