Title: Rattle = airbag
Post by: cyclopops on 15 September 2017, 20:30
Took my GTD in for an annoying rattle which seems to come from behind the clocks the tech has said he thinks it's the airbag housing, so new airbag next week.

Any one heard on of this before?

Cyclopops, saw you'd also posted this on another forum and I've responded on that forum.

Not on the Golf but had it on my CC, turned out to be one of the springs.

I highlighted to the OP who'd posted on another forum that someone else had experienced this on a 2016 Golf GTD, so to answer OP's question was 'had anyone else experienced this?', yes, someone else had experienced this.

The person on the other forum who had this issue was asking if there was a quick fix, implying they were considering a DIY repair. They were advised by other form members to take their car back to the dealer as it was under warranty and not to mess about with DIY fixes involving airbag assemblies.
