I'm looking to update the maps on my standard Nav and trying to find out which MIB version I have, anyone know how I check this or does it not matter which version it is? I have the My17 Golf R 16 plate.
TIA

Measure the screen diameter. Gen1 tends to be slower and more sluggish.....

Its all in the same package these days.
Just choose Nav as the option and not NavPro and down it comes.

On the VW site, it requires you to select your MIB version doesn't it, does this not matter then?
-
It does matter. MIB2 maps won't work on MIB1 and vice versa.
Just get a ruler if unsure.

Do you have AppConnect? (even if its not activated) If you do, then its MIB2

A 2016 car should be MIB2....

Thanks all, confirmed its MIB2 :)
