Title: Things I wish I hadn't bothered to do on my GTI

Decided to update my maps for the first time since buying the car.
Was just about managing to muddle through and was half way done with creating a probably unnecessary back up, when I had a power cut!
Should have left well alone :embarrassed:

I've not bothered trying this, my home IT stuff is way too old and I just know I'd make a right pigs ear of it. So I'm still on 2015 maps :rolleyes: Ought to try at some point while I have free updates but for now it'd be cheaper and easier to get lost :whistle:

Won't those highly trained technical experts at your local VW emporium do it for free when you're in there getting ripped off work done?

That would be good if they had a point where you could insert your sd card and it would do it for you, just like you get your digital photos printed (assuming that is how you still do it these days, I've still got 4 film cameras.....).
