Title: Should of joined earlier..

Hello all,

I own a 1987 8v gti, and have done for the last couple of years. unfortunately its never really seen the road. it was tested when I first got it, however other projects came first.

I'm now looking to make it roadworthy and back to a decent standard, and I'm sure will need to pick the brains of the gurus here, already found heaps of good info too.

I've also a 95 VR6 with a rotten shell I'll get too in good time lol.

Look forward to getting involved and hopefully helping out if I can.

It does run, but is suffering from a very erratic idle. Going to clean everything out and check it over see if I can get it running smoother.
