Was very tempted by the R32 back in the day, but never could see quite enough of a difference for the extra 7 grand compared to what I ended​ up with, but it was worth it, all things considered
However, slightly to my surprise, I'm here. Std GTI PP rather than the more exciting stuff.
Missing the sound already of 5 Vs 4, or even 4 Vs manic 4, but the toys will probably be just about enough of a distraction, for now.
Has the actual reliability got any better than the niceness of rubber paint?
First couple of days - lovely place to sit on a day to day basis, quick enough & so on, just lacking a bit of soul.
Still, as I spend quite a chunk of my time doing about 5 mph, there are some healthy advantages :).
