Title: Golf mk3 gti ecu swap
Post by: gareth_iowc on 27 April 2017, 22:22
hi all,

so my friend has a dead ecu we need to swap. He has bought a new ecu but it has no keys or immob box.

will the ecu work with the immob box current in the car or are they coded to each other?

thanks

They are coded to each other, however you can re-code it with VCDS, go to immo box (address 25) - adaptation - read channel 0 - then click save.
Switch off ignition and leave it be for about 5 minutes.

If you weren't so far away I'd read immo PIN for you as well and match it all.

Awesome thanks.

So it will work with out to immo pin?

What's the immo pin used for?

Many thanks

Matching keys (transponders) to the immo box only.
