Considering an exhaust for my Gti .. milltek is my first thought but are there any others to think about ... turbo back milltek looks like it will be £1600 or there about !
Did think about trading up to an R but think I'd get screwed on trade in price

They're not cheap but the quality is spot on - only got a cat-back on mine but will get the downpipe at some stage ready for a remap.

£3900 for a fancy piece of piping?? That's mad! Just a thought though, why not look at retrofitting a CS or CSS (if there's a difference) system? There was a thread a few months back with part numbers and prices.

From what i have seen there seems to be quite a noticeable difference with the CSS muffler worth looking into.

Got it now ! Club sport ! ... but I'm still keen on milltek but should I get full system or cat back ?

Go with a Remus setup. It looks really good with the quad pipes and the more agressive diffuser. If you want to look into a Clubsport muffler which is a cheaper alternative there is a big thread on golfmk7 forum with lots of guys that have purchased one.

Just looked at the Remus but no I still like milltek.. had turbo back milltek on my mk6 R and I'm sure I was under a grand for it ...

That looks like the turbo back version of my catback. It'll be louder than mine so I reckon you're right getting the one with 2 silencers on it as mine's about the right level of noise, although it's all subjective of course.
I'd definitely recommend the Milltek mate, mine's been spot on. I even fitted it myself on axle stands (although a turbo back might need the car in the air).
I've had Cobra exhausts before and they were okay but the quality of the stainless on the tailpipe wasn't up to much as it rusted pretty badly - no such problems on the Milltek.

Have a system made that way it will sound the way you want it and it will be half the price these guys have done a few mk7s :smiley:

Right it's finally ordered ! Turbo back, sports cat ,non res, with titianum tails ! And got it for £1450 delivered ! Cheapest Iv found by a fair bit ! So roll on delivery next week !
Eibach sportlines getting fitted tomorrow! Along with new rear discs and pads ..
