When do the new MY changes kick in?

Thanks for the info, I'm a little relieved there's no dramatic changes since mine has already been built.
What's the brake light housing about?

What's the brake light housing about?
Not 100% sure, but I believe the housing for the centre brake light is now black instead of red.

Liking the wheels and colour very simular in design to the santis but tbh I think the red rim spoils them looks like an afterthought.
I much prefer the subtle red ring around the center cap as like the CS which is why I got them for my Gti looks more well yeah lol...
Everyone's going to have their own opinion but that's just mine

Any idea of when the PP GTi is going to be available to order?

Any idea of when the PP GTi is going to be available to order?
Should be any day now really......
I am surprised it was not announced at the same time.
-
So disappointed there's no Sport & Sound option for the GTD
-
The design of those new wheels look cool imo. NOt sure how they'll look on a carbon grey model. I'm not sure if dark wheels on a dark car usually work.

I had VW Rotary alloys in a similar dark colour (Anthracite) on my Carbon Grey mk6 GTD. I thought they looked really good, although I may be a little biased!

I really don't like those wheels. Far too fussy IMO and would be a nightmare to clean. Look a bit aftermarket to me - not at all GTI good taste.

You've hit the nail on the head there. They really do look aftermarket.
-
I for one am glad that these wheels are available beacause the standard Parker wheel is a disgrace
-
The parker wheels are terrible but these aren't much better imo. They look "after market" and not in a good way. Anyone else thinking "A-Team" van?

... so you keep saying. I agree their are better looking alloys, but Parker alloys are going to be on my new car. You insult my alloys, you insult my car. You insult my car, you insult me. (http://www.picgifs.com/smileys/smileys-and-emoticons/cowboy/smileys-cowboy-627296.gif)

Not sure about the red ring round these wheels but given there isn't a lot of cost difference between these and the 19" Brescias it would be a simple decision for me to go 19s.

They come with much better tyres too. Unfortunately, where I live in the countryside, 19inch alloys would be an uncomfortable mistake.

Is it too late to change your order?

 Will be placing my order as soon as the GTI Performance becomes available. Will not be ordering 19 inch alloys due to crap roads where I live.
It is your opinion and you are entitled to it. However, using words like ugly, terrible, horrendous and a disgrace - is a bit strong. In a recent poll here - it would appear that 2/3 of people are happy enough with the Parker alloys. Only 1/3 ordered 19 inch alloys.

Word
People go a bit far in their descriptions, fine you don't like things, I don't like the look of a Kia Picanto but I don't go around slating it at every opportunity. People have different tastes thankfully or we'd all be driving the same cars and how awesome would that be.
You don't like the Parker alloys will suffice, move on.
I too will be having the Parker alloys on my car because after seeing them in the flesh they look alright on the car, plus I'm from Yorkshire so I'm tight and don't want to pay extra for some 19's with a bone crushing ride on our filthy pot hole ridden streets.

I think the words I choose to use are perfectly accepable to be honest.
The Austin alloys I have on my car have been openly slagged off by numerous members on here but I take it on the chin and I try not to get too upset
I'm just glad that VW have seen the sense to offer a different 18'' wheel option to the Parker.
-
Refurbing those Seville wheels looks difficult!
-
To be honest I don't really get the whole, "this alloy is more beautiful than that alloy." I'm far more interested in how they effect the over all ride and handling of the car. (http://www.audi-sport.net/xf/styles/default/xenforo/asn/ab/racer.gif)

I think they are growing on me and the more I see them the more I actually like them. I'll still be going for 19's on my GTi
If I did chose them I personally wouldn't give a toss if someone slagged them off but if a Ford driver slagged my car off then...........

Briggsy, sorry, but can I just check but does your dictum extend to superlatives as well as criticism?
For the record, I quite like the Parker alloys, fortunately on this occasion my feelings are adequately covered by 'like'.

@Watts, that made me laugh. Thanks and just what I need after spending a few hours driving a Merc GLE. It should be called boaty Mac boatface.

Briggsy, sorry
Apology accepted.

Excellent! So all friends? But, I'd be very grateful if you could give me some guidance as I have some pretty strong opinions on a new to me quick detailer product and I don't want to overstep the mark.

.....................the least worst springs to mind. Let's face it, VW have lost the plot with their wheels. Diamond cut faces that develop worm, long before the warranty is up, have been the story of their standard wheels for a long time. Meh looking wheels are just lazy. Just down the corridor, Audi have a range of durable, attractive wheels, so it's not impossible.

Good for you for standing your ground, I think the Parkers are horrendous
Now if anyone takes offence to my opinion then I don't care
-
I think the option wheels look like someone has purchased a set of alloy gators
-
Think the Parkers look pretty dire too to be honest.
-
I think the option wheels look like someone has purchased a set of alloy gators
That was my first thought!
At least they're powder coated and not diamond cut, so should be durable in everyday use........and no white worm corrosion to worry about.

Haters gonna hate.

This.

Driver seat with power adjustment and memory: SE/SE Nav (£580), GT/R-Line (£325)
Am I missing something: Why is this not an option for the GTD/GTI/R?
As we often swap cars this would be something I might be interested in. It is irritating when you have the seat just right, and have change it again the next day. A minor inconvenience, but...
