Title: Drop links
Post by: Brighouse-gti on 10 April 2017, 14:39
Anyone got any tips for changing drop links? Last time I changed them I changed wishbones at same time so was a doddle, just pondering if I need to unbolt suspension to make life easier or will they wiggle out in situ?

Nightmare. When i poly bushed mine the worste bit was compressing them.
I put them on rollbar and used some big grips to pull it down a small ratchet strap should do the same job and make it easier

jack up both sides of the car when you're doing them. it will all fall into place that way  don't even have to take the wheels off. just swing it from lock to lock depending which side you're working on.

Cheers for the tip Gazareth, a lot easier to do as you suggested, still took the wheels of tho as it gave that bit extra room needed to get the new links on! Bit of the olde WD40 helped too!
