just a short post - did my clubsport "collection" aka check and quick drive today as the car is being picked up and transported tomorrow to be stored for a couple of months. Anyway wanted to check it over and have a quick spin.
Hope you can see the pics ok - car looks awesome I have to say. Only had 15 min drive but loved it, the seats and steering wheel make the car feel really really special. Didn't punch it much but it feels quick top end and very taught handling. Its prett firm as you would imagine but first impressions are just great. So glad I went for the bucket seats they are so cool, really comfy and fit like a glove. Cant wait to get it on the road in the summer down some B roads, I bet it will embarrass some expensive kit.
Hope the images work - maybe someone can embed them if they know better than me !

Looks fantastic  You must be pleased. Have the front side windows been tinted? They look very dark or is it the light?
-
That is just stunning and like the cheeky plate
-
Why storing and not driving it??
-
Red + 3 doors = the right combination IMO for the Clubsport. Looks great . You must be well pleased!

Here you go:

That's the best CS I've seen so far. The tornado red really suits it!
-
Now that's gorgeous! I pick my Clubsport up on Saturday, i'm like a kid on Christmas Eve right now!!

THANKS for all the comments. I really love the red and black theme of my CS. Oh and the plate kinda suits it I think ! Had that since 2007 on retention waiting for a suitable car.
I think a red 3 door just looks fantastic tbh but they all look good. The steering wheel btw is a joy to hold for anyone who hasn't got theirs yet. Its amazing how a few little touches like that and the seats make it feel much more special.
the front windows aren't tinted btw its just the light.
Storing because a) wasn't really planning to buy another car until the M2 - which was later this year. However the chance to get the perfect CS spec was too good to resist. I am seriously considering not going for the M2 - worked out that with what I would get trading my 330d in 6 months time, I would nearly need to stump up the cost of the GTi to trade in !!
Given the 330d is pretty much the best car in the real world to drive every day IMO, that + the GTi is the perfect combo so I am hoping the Gti will scratch my fun itch in a big way, plus keeping the mileage very low will preserve its value I am sure.
My old Fiat Coupe needs to be MOT'd in the summer so I am planning to run that for a couple of months, MOT it then take it off the road and put the GTi on as I have a multicar insurance policy so it makes sense to only run 1 other car + the 330d. If it wasn't for that I would be driving it straight away don't worry !
Anyway thanks again for the nice comments and P3sa for posting the links.
Crewe VW have a white 3 door CS on the forecourt I think btw and also one identical to mine but DSG in the showroom I think its the Directors car.

Looks stunning
The red & black contrast looks awesome CS form, Congratulations!!
Bring on the summer...

That does look fantastic and when it comes time to order my next one I think it will be red with 3 doors. Looking at the photos I did think you went down the whole drug dealer route with the windows and found myself liking it :embarrassed:

Beautiful, loves the number plates.

Funnily enough my M2 has the plate FA57 TWO :)

Just add it to your insurance now so you can drive and enjoy it. My GTD only cost £175 per year on 10k miles so a CS on limited miles really can't cost a lot. Alternatively put the Fiat on classic insurance for a few quid a year and have all 3 at your disposal.

I was going to ask you if that was VW crewe . I had a couple of motors from there couldn't fault them

Great pics. What a nice car. I love my CS. I think it's probably the best car VW have produced in years.

You're not going to get many people disagreeing with you on that point.

The two best colours for the CS are definitely the red and the white as both colours highlight the features so well and is proven in these shots :)
The CS front end just seems right for the additional intent of the CS and where think the R 7.5 has missed in attempting to mimic it.
But as the 7.5 release closes the differentiation between the Golf Models, this would definitely be easily spotted :) Enjoy!

Thanks for the comments guys, think it's great for what is a fairly affordable standard hatchback.. Driving fun still to come !!
