Title: MK2 GOLF DRIVER ENGINE TEMP LIGHT FLASHING
Post by: tobylee307 on 17 March 2017, 18:41
Hello I have just got a Mk2 golf driver with a GTI 1.8 8v engine swap. All is good but the engine temp light is flashing but not solid. However the engine temp doesn't seem to show overheating. I know this can't be the case as the light flashes as soon as the car is started and even when it's only running on Auxiliary power.

Share your thoughts!  :undecided:

Temp level sensor that should be in the expansion tank.
Is it ce1 or ce2 fusebox.
I ask because ce1 has a relay for the water temp or level light on dash amd ce2 is built into the clocks.
Something to go on
