Title: Bizarre question
Post by: jasperjak on 02 March 2017, 20:42
Sorry this is an odd one, when using my automatic wing mirror adjuster to move the drivers side the near side mirror adjusts! Anyone know why this might be happening? Cheers

Thats a completely standard feature, its to allow you to adjust both mirrors at the same time, just the way that VW did it :)

Depending on model you can change the setting via the infotainment unit. If you have a handbook it's in there. I disabled it on mine.

On my TDI, I have the option of adjusting either mirror independently of the other...3 position button.

So set the right mirror first. (This will move the left mirror too but ignore it. ) Set the button to the left and adjust the left to match the right.
Finally set to the right so that you can adjust both together for different sized drivers.
