Strange how such a new version of the gti bein the CS are on sale so quickly.
Probably ex demo used mt branch managers and the like and both around the 6k miles mark may be trying to cash in before the next new plate...

There has been a massive gulf in prices between used ones on the VW used car website.
I've always kept an eye on the prices of performance Golfs in dealerships as that's how I bought my VW's for years - picking up low mileage ex-showroom cars when the sales manager has to get shot of them under pressure from local management to keep stock levels at a certain point whilst also under pressure from VW to order another showroom car which they are obliged to do every so many months.

The cheapest Clubbie (non CSS) I've seen so far on VW approved used was a 3 door at a whisker under £27k before Xmas and around the same time Plymouth VW had a white 5 door for just over £27k. I don't think either hung around for long.
The dearest ones were around £40k so that's a massive variance!

Anyone know what happened to the person who was on here night and day "bigging up" the CS and waiting for delivery... GT4?  Did he keep it or flip? I guess for some it wasn't the GT3RS or 911R that they thought it was in terms of monetary gains..

Chief fluffer seems to have vanished.

This seller is similarly informed:

Love it

The comments and standout features are just daft, especially the GT racing and aluminium subframe features...

That ad is terrible, references to Porsche racing division, ok one of the development guys worked there. It is nothing like a mk1 GTi etc...

I would pay list for a low mile CS-S, but I would steer clear of someone pedalling such BS!

Will be interesting what happens to values when the new Civic Type R beats its time in a car that seats five.

It is good to see a few being owned, used and abused and enjoyed.

A guide for long term values on the CS-S for me is the Megane R-26R which for me remains the ultimate track day hatch but not necessarily the fastest in the numbers obsessed times.

Amazing all these people with opinions on the CSS, yet 99% of them have never driven one!

I have driven many miles in all variants of GTI and Golf R's, including all the special editions etc, the CSS is leaps ahead of all of them and the best Golf I have driven period!

I think the opinions are more on the owners of some of them rather than the car itself.  :lipsrsealed:

And this thread is more about the standard showroom CS prices not the flippers.

The majority of people will have an opinion on most cars but just because they haven't driven one doesn't mean they can't express an opinion! Wether that opinion is correct is another matter.

Are you being serious Andrew?

GT4 was up north while that advert is in Surrey.

Are people seriously paying that for a used CS?  Madness.  I wouldn't even pay list price for it.  Its got no back seats, no folding mirrors, no arm rest - the list goes on.  It's a track day car, anyone who professes it's anything other than that clearly doesn't commute in a car to work.

As for the chap that got rid of his GT4 for a CS, well, each to their own but what?!

yeah, GT4 (Andrew) has kept his CSS as he has fallen for it, and would rather sell his GT4 than his CSS :)

Impressive to be able to come to that conclusion after only driving delivery miles! :)

OK The GT4 lacks anything at the top end, if you ever get there with the long gearing, but it's not a bad car as modern Porsche go.

Andrew, as a matter of interest is the £80 discount you're offering for members her off the RRP or the online price? If it's the online price then it's only a £10 discount. I'm after the peddle box too.

I wouldn't say it was a conclusion, purely an impression .... I didn't realise you have a GT4 ...?

the discounts apply to the full RRP, as weve slowly increased the online discounts offered on our website
