I fitted a set to my GTI.
Great quality plates but I swapped them for some plastic ones soon after as I feel they don't suit the modern look of the MK 7.
It's personal preference but they are not for me.

I fitted some a few months ago.  Love them.  Details and pics in here.  http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=275792.msg2551441#msg2551441

EDIT:  Just seen Rhyso already linked. :embarrassed:

I have them mated to some surrounds. I only changed because the original had the dealer name and town running across the bottom edge.Plus it made my LUFC friends happier.

I did nothing of the sort

I merely suggested that perhaps your car's visual appeal may be enhanced by the purchase of some pressed plates.....I didn't MAKE you buy them

You sowed the seed which led to the purchase which means you MADE me buy them.

Those plates should come as standard, they look like they were invented just to be fitted on a GTI.

I'm not a fan at all.
Mine are stuck on a shelf in the garage. Modern cars suit modern plates.

When I bought my first new car in 1980, pressed plates were the norm; there was an extra charge if I wanted to have perspex plates.
