I found this video on youtube - if you pause at 25-27sec there appears to be a Reflex Silver car in the background.

Here is a White Silver Beetle video -

You must have been looking at the same vids as I did this morning. Reflex silver looks so much better in my opinion. Removing it from the range has turned my no brainier Colour and car choice into a tie up between the S3 and R.

The silver white looks similar to a colour Volvo did a few years ago. I don't like it but then you need to see it on the car to know for sure.

Yeah I'm in agreement with you there hard to tell from a video would like the chance to see a mk7 in the same colour.
I didn't get white in the golf as the wife's scirocco is white which I do like alot but I'm not a lover of silver but this could be different in the flesh so to speak

I know it is hard to tell from a video. However, the ordinary white and silver car in the background looked ok.
In both the videos is looks like white primer grey.
There are not many images online. My dealer didn't even have a sample to show me.
Difficult decision for someone ordering a car now. Luckily for me () the performance pack is not available for a few months. I'm not really sure what colour to order now - white or red maybe. Then again, I may regret not buying white silver when they start to appear.

You'll never regret red

looks better in this video - more metallic & less primer

That's a much better look at the colour, now I know I don't like it.

This looks to be white silver as well

How many shades of white can there be?! It doesn't look much different to pure white in that beetle video. I think you'd need to see it in the metal.

Looks better in this photo...

Mini have a white silver colour, wonder if it will be similar to that?

I think I prefer your silver Raffe

Is this white silver? The number plate and road markings are white. Again, this looks like white primer grey!
I can see this getting called (s)hite silver

Maybe. It looked a lot more grey on my computer monitor than it does on my laptop.

Migrated to a Golf GTI P/P a few months ago from a MK1 TT 3.2 V6 Man. although the GTI is a great car ( I still have my MK1 GTI Cab.) I would choose an S3 Sportback next time. I feel the Audi has the edge over a GTI.

Ok, that car is definitely not white and it is not silver. So it must be white silver?
If you pause at 27sec - it looks similar to the man's faded blue jeans and light grey t-shirt.
It looks awful!

Is looks worse than awful.

I actually like it.
I don't think it carries over to photos well.
A friend of mine had a Leon Cupra in a similar colour and I have a MINI Cooper in a similar shade.
It varies with light shade from looking white to a pale grey (a similar colour to an iMac funnily enough and also iOS grey backgrounds) and when the sun hits it there are lots of other colours in the paint that come out.
It will contrast nicely with the black bits on the Performance Golfs and will also highlight red (or blue) brake callipers and badge trims.

Almost reminds me of the difference between the Audi colours Ibis White and Suzuka Grey

My local dealer had an UP in white silver metallic so I went for a look yday - looked exactly like the picture of the Golf estate posted by Daz Auto earlier - not nice at all - looks like primer - nothing like the colour in the pictures of the Beetle posted early in this thread -

... I saw a sample - White Silver = flat light grey. IMO standard white looks much better.
Here it is on a Golf - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ELa1KUb7QA (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ELa1KUb7QA)

You can see white cars in the background.

There was a white silver Golf at the dealers yesterday. It was parked between a pure white Golf and a reflex silver Golf. The light was fading so I didn't take a photo. It looks just like the TT above. It's a light grey colour. I don't know why they are calling it metallic. There was very little metallic flake and almost no sparkle. It just looked like a flat light grey. The reflex silver Golf beside it had much better light reflection on the contours of the car. Beside the pure white Golf, white silver looked really dull.
I guess white silver is going the be a marmite colour.
-
I couldn't see it being "metallic" either.
I'm just sad that I can't have a Golf in Skoda "meteor grey" - thats a proper awesome colour!

+1 nice colour on the VRS with black pack. Or Audi Nardo Grey on the RS3.
