Post by: sms-aka-me on 04 February 2017, 03:58

I'm looking into buying my first mk3 gti.
the one I'm currently looking at has just under 180k miles on the clock. How much is too much?

All depends on service history and such. I had a mk2 with 240k on it when it died and i drove it hard for 14k before it died

hi, Like Lemski says, I suppose just make sure service history is together, and cambelt, if you buying and it hasn't had a cambelt in a while, budget getting one done asap, how much you paying if you don't mind me asking?

mileage is irrelevant unless its low miles/owners/history blah blah blah. You can pick cars up anywhere between £30 and £3000,iv'e seen some good cars go for under £400 ,8v and 16v's mainly.Do your homework.

Im thinking of buying a 4 bedroomed house thats over 15 years old.

How much is too much ?.

See my point.

No one can give you an idea on what something is worth if you dont give them the info they need to make some sort of calculation.
