Title: Fuel one way valve?
Post by: Ajamesc on 31 January 2017, 18:55
Do pd golfs have fuel one way valves? I'm being to think these cars are seriously un reliable lol. More often than not now when I start mine it takes a goood while to start like it's clearing an air lock? A few times as well it's cut out like it's run out of fuel and just used what's in the filter. Will then take ages to fire up. Has new filter and a new in tank pump as that was playing up and not priming when you turn the ignition on

On the filter return theres a one way valve. Pulls out the filter. O ring sometime s gets caught and sucks air in.
Also the pd pump on the side of the engine seal i think can leak.

Well had to give in and take it to a vw specialist with the equipment and tec data to scan it and check fuel pressure. Shows a fault for miss fire on cylinder one never felt a mis fire and it drives fine once you get over the initial starting issue. Also according to logs it's been massively over fuelling on cylinder 1. So there fitting an injector fingers crossed it dose the job. Only bad thing it going on my experience with modern diesel injectors in trucks once one go's there all on there way!

Theyll check the others through vag com id expect anyway.
I read once that pd injectors dont really go. (Silver lining for you)
Not sure how true that statement actually is though
