-
yep... told him already...
-
Si,i thought you already had an engine for to go in the cab..or are you just confuzzlin me?!..tis easy done you know..
Dinx
-
its like askin the same bloke if a mk1 shell will fit over a tvr!
of course it will, may just need to encourage it slightly!?! give it time and anything's possible si!
-
doubt that would fit in a mk1 cab without major work to the whole car
plus audi lumps bolted on the wrong way in the engine bay
-
What you need is a big hammer.....
-
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v63/speedydub/smug.gif) too right

At the rates hes going the acculimative BHP of all his cars on his driveway will be equal to the entire fleet of contenders for the Gumball3000!!!!
-
will look kinda like the startin grid of wacky races!

That V8 engine goes into the bay front to back, as aposed to across (left to right) and is meant to drive either the rear wheels or all four wheels (Audi's Quattro system) so you'd need to modify the bulkhead, put in a tunnel for rear wheel drive shaft, new rear axel and new front axel whether your were powering the front wheels or not.
You might even have to look at a new chassis to cope with the extra weight and power.
And if you put it into a Cab, you'd have to do a lot to it to stop all those horses from twisting the car.
Could be fun though.
I'm fairly sure that one of the VW transplant specialists was going to do a V8 Golf project, but can't remember which.

hahahahaha - I love the replies....
Yes I am seriously looking into V6 and V8 options for the cab... and yes there will be serious mod's to the cab.... but a little hard work and help from our famous mate up north.... it will be a live and kicking car in 2006.... so watch out people for my new project which will be outlined to all in Jan06.....

Anythings possible Si, just needs a lot of balls, vision and a reasonable amount of insanity !
-
think we can confidently say youv got all of those si
why keep us waitin bw, cant u tell us now? im so impatient!
-
if all else fails, use a jag v8 ally engine, hooked up to a jag i,r,s back axle, custom prop, all mounted onto a mk2 escort chassis, with bod dropped back on top....peice of piss, i'll build 1 tonight..
-
u cheeky arse, if only it was that simple!
-
using those components, it wouldn't be rocket science, mount the rover v8, and jag back axle on the rollin chassis (not too hard), then most of floor out of donor golf, then drop it over and stick a new floor in it, the send it to custom prop place at immingham, let them build custom prop and shafts, then roberts yer dads brother, monster golf, or you could use escort chassis, then mount cosworth engine and running gear and drop body back over, just need technical assist and superior welding skills of my older bro...
-
i suggest you get to it my friend! sounds a little special to me!
-
i'll get to it now......
oh sh!t, me wallets empty, guess thats pi55ed on that idea, given the cash mate, i'd have built it long ago....

Renault 25 turbo/Espace box, eliminates the need for rwd, and the internals are stronger than a normal french piece of dung!!!
