Title: Remote boot pop
Post by: Wazzzer on 22 January 2017, 21:13
Anyone got one? Would be interested to see how it's rigged up, not sure what I'm going to do with the handle on mine at the mo as I'd like to keep it functional...

I have it enabled on my R32 and i have a 3 button Fob, I haven't bothered sorting anythign to make it pop up though, too lazy lol.

I suppose what I am saying is, I think it could be done :)

My old build thread is around here somewhere

I had a Beetle latch and used a fuel solenoid for the boot pop action

I had to replace my CCM to allow the use of a 3 button fob. aRD did me an exchange unit for the CCM if I remember correctly  :undecided:

Barry - Yeah I know it looks nice but I really haven't got the cash to get it done unless you know of a boot ready made?

Rhys - Thanks for that mate, kinda confirms I need to find a microswitch of some kind that will trigger the solenoid when the handle is used

If you can track the owner of LK51 XPO you could offer to buy the lid off that; at least it's the right colour

EDIT- it's currently sorned   hasn't been on the road since May last year
