Interesting link??

Be careful with Audi wheels as many of the newer cars have a different stud pattern, you need 5x112 to fit a Golf and there should be quite a few available.  It is unusual to have a spacesaver the same size as the standard wheels and the spacesaver will have higher sidewalls and a smaller diameter wheel to give a very close match to the overal rolling circumference which is what realy matters, a standard GTi spacesaver should fit perfectly

I would just buy the standard fitment Golf Mk7 spare, as per the GTi.

Who knows, maybe a little weight in that part of the car may not be such a bad thing? :)

The GTi/mk7 space saver, (sure they are all the same) are very light and way lighter than any large alloy wheel especially the normal factory ones.  A normal factory 18" alloy wheel weighs in excess of 12kg plus tyre, a 19" factory alloy wheel with tyre will feel quite substantial at about 25kg+ approx.  It will also sit proud of the space saver hole as it was designed for the slim space saver (surprise).  I don't think the space saver weights much more than 10kg with the tyre.

Perhaps we could buy 4 and remove some unsprung rotational mass
