right here goes
now on our old 8v gti within a month the new clutch started slipping under load
but now we have a 16v that has a recent europarts LUK I think .. clutch and pressure plate well low and behold 1 month on and 3rd gear thrashing it is clutch slip city
so my thoughts are worn out flywheel as all the gti flywheels I have checked are blackened and worn
opinions Please since I will be changeing the gearbox and clutch again very very soon and I'd like the clutch to last for a change
what uprated clutchs are available for the 88 16v but it can't be a heavy pressure plate as it's my dainty little misses daily driver ..

Sachs Sports clutch, no more than £138 from GSF.
-
ouch @ £138
but if it lasts twice as long as the LUK one I guess it's worth twice the price
-
LUK ones are notoriously sh!t. I had a sachs in my old valver. Def worth the investment.
-
I suppose that will be it's next present
-
come to think about it, i have one in the current valver and thats running much much more power than standard.
-
that's it sold I guess
I wonder if the diff can wait though as it sounds lovely in reverse
