Standard. Coming up to 4th service. No problems.
Still impressed by the everyday usability. What a car.
Almost 40k from new and still in love....

What's not to like?
Everyday use ability and great looks and performance, the perfect package

Not even thinking about the next car, hoping to keep this one for a few years.
Not a CS, not an R, not even a PP.
Perfect for me.

Always nice to read posts like this thread.
There's always lots of salivating about special editions and bragging rights about options people just can't live without but I've always found climbing into a standard spec GTI of almost any generation the most satisfying and pure GTI experience. They're (nearly) all great drivers cars and a really good blend of talents versus real world usefulness and generally quite good value (and affordable to run). The pure GTI the drivetrain and chassis engineers designed and truest to the original ethos.
Good on you GolfTi, and a testament to the car too.
I only wish I didn't have this hideous habit of wanting to experiment with different models and mods all the time. True happiness is in the purity.

Great stuff GolfTi  Mine's not far off standard too but I do have the PP, doubt it makes any difference with my style of driving but I do love the red calipers!

Me too! Every trip I do in my GTI makes me appreciate it more. Just love the way it covers the miles, always with enough in hand to manage the other traffic. DSG is just sublime at all times, even in "D". Looks great too!
