Title: Mk4 golf knocking noise from front

I have an annoying knocking noise that seems to be from the front o.s. On bumpy ground it's continually knocking not a really loud knock but it's there. I've done the lower arms the ball joints roll bar D bushes and the drop links. Are these cars commen for strut top mounts.

Sounds like itll be the top mount. Not much else left unless the springs got a little bit snapped of and when suspensions exteded abit its rattling in the cups

Striped it out tonight the car has cheap coilovers on it not fitted by me I will be replacing them at some point. But there's only 1 strut nut! The one with the shoulder that sits above the bearing is missing from iver side

Some people should not be allowed to undertake any type of big repair
