I have just become an owner of a mk5 gti dsg on a 57 plate with 29k on the clock now the wife doesn't like the back end of the car and would like to change it to look like the mk5 r32 like my sons r32 so Has anyone done this conversion yet on their mk5 gti

If anyone has what sort of sound did the exhaust give and any heads up on fitting problems

I have seen r32 lookalikes so it is doable
-
Cant tell you the sound but will have to have a exhaust made up to go to the tips and change the bottom half of the bumper for the r32 insert
-
I'd get on the phone to milltek or scorpion, see how much of the exhaust is the same, get what you need of the exhaust and attach it to the standard exhaust, i would imagine that they take the same route under the car.

Hello the link i posted comes with the lower bumper and cut outs and the exhaust so was just wondering is anyone had done the conversion and how hard was it to do DIY style
-
Shouldnt be anymore than half a day if the exhaust is made to join upto the centre section.
Jack up car. Take exhaust off. Remove rear bumper.
Split the bumper.
Fit new section and exhaust.
Possible weld a hanger to car for rear box. Lower car and admire work
