Hi
I have a small Coolant leak on my GTI shown below. Booked in under warranty. They need to strip it down to find out what it is. Anyone had a similar problem? Just curious as to what it might be. Only gone from max to min in a year.
Edit: it's the level of strip down that worries me.
Thanks
Chris

Had my thermostat housing replaced because it was leaking. It is up behind the radiators and not easy to get to but everything was fine and no issues since.

Glad it was something simple like that. I keep checking mine and so far it is a s dry as a bone.

Mine is now sitting on the minimum line. The level has gradually dropped over the 18 months since new. Thought it might have been air traps bleeding out but this makes me worried. Ill mention it at next service probably January.

That is what mine did. Took it in on first service as it had gone down. They didn't find anything. Over the course of the next 12 months it went from max to min. I got underneath and could just about see the leak (see pics above). I took these pics to the dealer when It went in for the second service. That way they couldn't ignore it. I would definitely get them to have a look when you take it in.
