Title: Car-Net App-Connect for iPhone
Post by: saigonmark on 25 October 2016, 18:03
I didn't spec Car-Net App-Connect on my new Golf and it's a £245 retrofit. The Golf has sat-nav fitted as standard; so to those people who have it fitted do you use it & is is worth it?

Cheers, Mark.

CarPlay/Android Auto has been well worth it for me. Using Siri, Apple Maps and Spotify is far better than the VW software and I wouldn't get a car without it now.

I think it's well worth it.  I have Pro Nav and App-connect and only now use the Pro as a back up if phone signal drops out, otherwise I use App-connect all of the time.

I spec'd it and use it, not for the NAV but just for the phone use as the touchscreen works so well.

I have it and have used it once I think.
That probably says more about me than car net app though
