My 2014 GTD 5dr (now on 29k miles) has made occasional, subtle creaking noises from the front suspension when driving over uneven ground for quite a while now, but over the past month or so these have become louder and near daily.
Has anyone else experienced creaking front suspension from their Mk 7? Anybody actually had a successful diagnosis (and fix?) from their dealer?

I had this on my gti, it took the dealer a few goes to finally sort it. They lubed the rear door rubbers, replaced the rear shocks (even though the noise was from the front) but eventually greased the lower wishbone arms which fixed the issue. The technician who sorted it had done the same to another gti before mine.

Had the same issue on the wife's GTD! Had rear shocks changed 3 times now and appears to have cured the rear noise problem. With reference the front suspension noise we too have been experiencing the same be it a slightly muted noise as Pukeylukey mentioned the lower wishbone arms were greased and touch wood it appears to have fixed the problem albeit possibly only temporary!

I also had the lower wishbone TPI applied.!! It was only issued in April 2015 so its well worth enquiring about if anyone is experiencing similar.

I also had a 'clunking' rectified at the same time so ive posted the link to what was causing it.
Hope this helps

Cheers Fabio - the car will be into the dealer for oil change service next month so I will ask them about the TPI whilst it's in - thanks for the advice mate.

Keep getting creaking all round, they grease something when it goes in and it's OK for 6 months or so. I'll go an demand shock absorbers now then!

I had this along with a strange squeak... and slightly nervous handling on high frequency bumps (e.g. concrete motorways)
Replaced one front strut... solved the squeak but not the creak... so the rear shocks were replaced... problem solved... all under warranty.
